Conferences are the bread & butter of sound dept's audio platter. Here is just one example of what we do week in week out.
Tasked with providing the audio element to a main plenary session for 800 seated participants, within a larger exhibition area (which had other smaller presentation areas active during the day), we deployed Meyer Sound for the main thrust and Meyer Sound UPJ-1p flown further down the space for delayed reinforcement, making sure that each listener experienced the same even coverage and received the same crystal clear information that they and the presenters were there to discuss. Meyer sound 600HP subs were also deployed discreetly in the space to complete the full range sound and add impact to the clients video content, which they had taken great care to create.
In this setting, and with the the clients blessing, we chose to use DPA lightweight and comfortable headworn microphones on Sennheiser wireless packs to maximise intelligibility in an acoustically busy environment.
